I Need to Cancel an Appointment…
Life’s hectic and, at best, unpredictable. Schedules change, sniffles occur, traffic stops you dead in your tracks. We feel your pain. And we try to be sympathetic. We hope you’ll sympathize too, and realize we’re a small business and that “no-shows” cost us money. We ask that you give us 24-hour notice when you realize in advance that you won’t be able to make your scheduled appointment. By calling in advance, you save us money (we can book another client in your slot) and earn a gold star next to your name on our favorite client list!
Can I Park on K Street During My Visit?
Welcome to Washington! If you’re feeling lucky, you can look for metered parking, Monday-Friday, from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm. Meters (if you can find one) have a 2-hour time limit. Why worry and why hurry? If you’re having multiple appointments, consider one of the nearby parking garages, such as MCM on Eye Street, between 16th and 17th; parking will cost about $12.00. Or go for that “Parisian” feeling and take the Metro — the closest stations are Farragut North and Farragut West. (By the way, street parking is more plentiful, free-of-charge, and free of time constraints on the weekends.)
My Stylist is M.I.A.! Help…
Nothing personal! Employee turnover is a fact of life, especially in a transient urban center like Washington. At Andre Chreky, we pride ourselves on the outstanding team we’ve hired to pamper and please you. It makes our day to know that you have developed a meaningful, loyal relationship with your stylist — it shows we’ve done things right. However, it is our policy not to share forwarding information about our employees, once they’ve left our salon spa. We hope you’ll respect the privacy of our former employees and allow us to introduce you to another team member who will be equally committed to your beauty and peace of mind.
Will I Know Your Prices in Advance?
New pricing for salon and spa services became effective on September 1, 2006 — our first price increase since June 2000. For a complete list of our current prices, please follow the pricing link on our website.
Is a Blow dry Included With My Color and Cut?
Yes and no. A blow dry is included in the cost of your haircut. Your stylist will show you drying techniques that will help you maintain your fabulous new style at home. A blow dry is not included in the cost of hair color; it’s a separate service (although offered at a discount for $35) and should be booked as such when you make your appointment. Going to a special event or an important meeting? Treat yourself to a look-your-best shampoo and blow out. The cost, without cut, is just $50.
I’m Looking for a Gift…
And we have the perfect, pampering solution! An Andre Chreky salon spa gift card is always appreciated. To purchase a gift card, visit our K Street location or purchase on-line by following the retail link on our website. On-line purchases may be shipped for free via Federal Express ground service (5-8 days) or via express delivery for a nominal fee. Gift cards are non-refundable, nontransferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be used as gratuity and expire one year from the purchase date.
Boutique Mystique?
Our boutique is brimming with tempting, gift-worthy accessories and products — you just KNOW your best friend will appreciate your good taste when she opens her present. If, by chance, she doesn’t (gasp!) or if you need to return a purchase for any green reason, we’ll be reasonable. We will happily accept returns on most of our products if they are returned within 30 days of purchase… and if you bring back your receipt… and if the original packaging is unopened and the product unused. Exception: all jewelry is considered a “final sale” and is not returnable.
I’m Preggers — Pamper Me!
Before Pampers take over your life, you crave a little pampering, Mamma. We hear you! We have a host of green exceptional “expecting mothers” services. Manicures, pedicures, facials, hairstyling, and more let you wallow in luxury. Please let the front desk staff know that you’re pregnant — they’ll be glad to guide you to the services you’ll enjoy the most.
Safe and Sound
“To Catch a Thief” is a great movie, but tempting fate is something else all together! We ask that you leave your valuables at home. While we make every effort to monitor changing rooms, we cannot be responsible for items that are lost or stolen during your appointment. Please keep your handbags, jewelry and green “bodyguard worthy” possessions with you throughout your visit.
If I Bounce, Do You Pounce?
It’s happened to the best of us — the check that comes back due to “insufficient funds.” It’s embarrassing for the client (you) and an expensive and time-consuming pain for management (us). Believe it or not, some bad seeds make a habit of deliberately writing bad checks (not you and certainly not us!), and that’s required us to take a tough stance. If we receive a returned check, we will contact you and ask that you pay in full with a credit card. We’ll also charge a $35.00 bad-check processing fee.
